Shuttle Services:

Coastal Camp works with Michael's Transportation in San Francisco and D’Harris Tours in Marin to offer convenient transportation options from San Francisco and Marin County. Select your preferred shuttle option during the registration process. If you would like to sign up after you have registered, see our FAQs for instructions.

Our shuttle operates like a school bus. We contract a bus and driver through Michael’s Transportation and D’Harris Tours. Both companies employ professional, full-time drivers who put the safety of the kids on the bus above all else. Oftentimes, our driver is a familiar face who regularly works with a local school. We typically have the same driver all summer, barring them taking time off for illness or vacation.

The driver will be the one to greet the kids every morning, make sure they are buckled in and supervise them on the bus. If any issues arise on the bus, the driver will let us know and we will inform guardians and assign seats on the bus as needed. For our 4:15 SF bus in the afternoon, Coastal Camp will send a staff member on the bus to help with a safe and orderly dismissal. For our 5:15 SF bus, the children will be supervised and dismissed by the driver. We do not send an additional staff member on this bus since it is a lower capacity and due to staff travel logistics- the 5:15 bus will function like a school bus would. All Marin busses will have a Coastal Camp staff member on board.

Please note: 

  • Campers riding the shuttle do not need to register or pay for early or extended care.

  • Times listed are subject to daily traffic conditions.

  • Please arrive early for the scheduled pick-up and drop-off times. Our bus schedule is tight and we depart promptly at the scheduled times. We cannot wait for late pickup or drop-offs.

  • Campers riding early morning or late afternoon bus from San Francisco will participate in extended care. They will not be on the bus the entire time.
