At Coastal Camp, we are committed to hiring staff who reflect the campers we serve. When campers see themselves in their educators, connections are more easily formed. They learn better. This has a lasting impact on young people, especially those who have had little, if any, access to the outdoors—they come to understand that these parks are theirs and they feel empowered to explore and protect them. This is why at Coastal Camp, we put our efforts into recruiting and hiring a workforce that closes the gap separating students and educators.


Coastal Camp Staff Positions

Hiring has begun for our 2025 camp season! Applications will be reviewed beginning February 19th and will continue on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. See below for the job descriptions and applications.

Coastal Camp Counselor: This position is best suited for people who have experience working with kids or some experience leading groups outside but don’t necessarily have teaching experience and are looking to grow their skills in teaching and leading groups.

Coastal Camp Educator: This position is best suited for people who have informal or formal teaching experience and/or experience leading groups outside in environmental education or adventure recreation.
