Weekly thematic programming is designed to help prepare campers for Kindergarten by developing social skills and highlighting nature, inquiry, creativity, movement, and music.
Weeklong day camp sessions include daily snacks and a Coastal Camp bandana (limit one per camper per summer). Kinder campers must be entering kindergarten in fall 2025 or be at least four years old as of December 2024 to participate. For campers who are six years old, we suggest first-grade sessions.

Stars of the sea will even see how they measure up to an 82 foot blue whale skeleton!
Activities may include:

Take a walk on the wild side at Coastal Camp! This week, we’ll be discovering which animals call the Headlands home. Campers will check out animal specimens in the Skins & Skulls lab and learn all about how to classify animals – mammals, reptiles, fish, and birds! We’ll keep our eyes peeled for signs of wildlife as we hike the trails, and try our best to spot nests and burrows!
Activities may include:
Identifying key differences between different types of animals
Visiting specimens in the Skins & Skulls Lab
Learning how to spot animal evidence on the trails
